Orchid Glass Art offers fun and informative classes and workshops. We teach year round and for all skill levels.

Classes
We currently teach classes in our Pensacola studio. Beginner to Advanced classes with groups or individuals are currently being scheduled. Our class schedules times can vary so please call us for details. We know that in today's busy times that sometimes your schedule may be conflicting. No worries, let us know as we can be flexible to meet your needs. We also teach stained glass at Pensacola Junior College continuing education classes

Workshops All workshops are performed at Orchid Glass Art's studio and are held in a relaxed fun atmosphere. Learn new techniques, meet others who enjoy stained glass, and bring home a completed project in these short workshops that last several hours. Please call to reserve your spot.

Workshops we have provided in the past that may be available in the future are listed below....

Basic Fusing Class ~A two day workshop that will get you familiar with popular fusing techniques.
Beach Windows ~Capture the beach inside bevels. We use sand and shells enclosed in bevels. If you have shells that are special to you, bring them along.
Boxes ~Learn to assemble a stained glass box with a hinged top. Spice it up with your decorative soldering skills or other attachments. You will need 1 Sq Ft of glass, foil of your choice, a tube hinge, box chain, solder and any other items you’d like to try and incorporate into your box.
Candle Box or Candle Tray ~Soft candle glow and stained glass are a perfect match.
Decorative Soldering Techniques ~Add spark to your projects using decorative soldering techniques by learning how to manupulate solder for different effects.
Fan Lamps ~ Brighten things up with these small, free form panels that rest in an oak fan lamp base that lights the panel from behind. A major WoW factor project!
Garden Picks (Butterflies & Dragon Flies) ~Liven up your garden or houseplants with easy to make Butterflies and Dragonflies with stained glass and lead came. If you’re not into picks, we can simply turn these into sun catchers.
Kaleidoscopes ~Fun and easy to make, dress them up with your decorative solder techniques.
Night Lights ~A small easy project that glows in the dark!
3D House ~A Christmas village house,, one of our more difficult projects that will challenge you.
Wind Chimes ~Create a whimsical yet elegant wind chime....and they sound great too!
Business Card Holder ~Great gift idea to hold your business cards!

On the Spot ~This is a kind of fun mystery workshop. Everyone will be given the same materials (some color choices available). The task is to make whatever you can with the provided materials. Really gets your creativity going, and it’s fun to see what others make with their materials.

Other workshops include Kaleidoscopes, Crosses, Picture Frames, and Business Card Holders. These short inexpensive 1/2 day workshops are casual, fun and best of all you leave with a completed project! Everything you need to complete your project is usually included.
